I have two passions in life, reading and G&Ts. When I'm not adulting in my day job or being the dutiful wife and mother, I can be found with my head in a book. Usually a spicy one, and a G&T in hand.
I read a book in 2015. The book brought kink into the mainstream and quickly became a bestseller. I'm sure you can guess the series... But, I wanted more. I wanted to tell a story of what it looks like when the MMC is possessive in all the wrong ways. I wanted to highlight the struggles that people go through to find themselves and true love. So I downloaded a book called 'How to write your first novel' onto my Kindle and the rest, as they say, is history.
Covid Lockdown No.1 - what a crappy time to be alive. I'm someone who likes to find the silver lining, and mine was a rediscovery of my love for reading. My friends and I created a virtual book club to keep us sane over lockdown. We consumed a lot of smut. One evening, over a Zoom chat and a G&T, I mentioned my idea for a book. My friends loved it, but it was too much for one book, so of course, I decided I'd write a four-part series. The Book Club Series was born. By November 2021 I'd published the first edition of Imogen's Story. It proved popular, so I forked out all my savings and had it professionally edited and gave the cover a massive, professional face lift. February 2022 saw me publish the 2nd edition of Imogen's Story.
The Book Club series was no longer a Bucket List exercise. It was my new future.
